Yard Sale

The yard sale was a success (I guess). We sold a bunch of stuff and came out with between $30-$40 and some free space in the house. Paul, Carrin, Paige, Connor, Aunt Terri, my mom & dad, Aunt Ann & Uncle Seth, and Angie's mom all stopped by for a visit and/or to sell some stuff or shop around the neighborhood.

Of course, you can't participate in a community yard sale and not replace your outgoing junk with new junk. I ended up buying a 7-in-1 Sportcraft game table from our neighbor across the street. It's a small table with air hockey, Foosball, bowling, backgammon, checkers, chess, and something else that we've yet to determine. Couldn't pass it up for 10 bucks. Especially since he also threw in a brand new unopened movie poster frame. I spent $30 at Kmart for one of those about 2 months ago.

I was also eyeing up the neighbor's little "junior" drum kit, but it sold before I even had a chance to ask him what he wanted for it.

By 1:30pm the 'crowds' had died down so we packed up our stuff and called it quits. Terri ended up getting some stuff from our neighbor to our right, so Paul and Carrin's cars were pretty loaded up when they left.

The two things that I expected to sell right off the bat (the kids' high chairs) didn't sell for some reason. Only one person even asked about them. So they're up on Craig's List now. We'll see how it goes.

We also listed one of the cribs on Craig's List just to see if we can sell one of them. I just posted this stuff today (about 15 minutes ago), so I'm hoping someone sees them within a few days.

I put our crib up on there a while back. Reasonably priced I thought.... apparently not... I think people think CraigsList is synonymous with "fiscal ass rape". It's like an online version of The Berlin Farmers Market.

2005 Chrysler Town & Country Sliding Door Fix

Our driver's side power sliding door has been acting up over the past year or so.  When you press the button inside the van or use the remote key chain fob to open the door, it will usually only open a few inches and then quit.  When it first started happening it would open pretty far and then quit, so I squirted some WD-40 inside the tracks thinking that something was blocking it.  That actually seemed to buy us some time because it started working again after that.  Over the past few months, though, the door was basically not powered anymore.  It would occasionally open about 2 inches and then stop.  Once open, it wouldn't even attempt to close when you pressed the button.  And if you manually closed the door, you really had to slam it because the motor wasn't taking over to close it all the way (you'll know what I'm talking about if you have one of these). A side effect of this problem was that our power door locks also stopped working within the past two days

Camping Trip

Boy Scout camping trip to Bass River State Park. This was near the end of our 7.6 mile hike. That is Lake Absegami in the background. That's Dillon, Jason, and Adrian.
