April Showers

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Today marks the first time that the twins actually opted to take showers instead of baths. Our experiences with the shower in the past were never successful, but the twins had to put up with it when we stayed in Ocean City last year because once we came off the beach we would stand in the shower outside the room to get the sand off. You would have thought we were murdering the two of them with all the screaming that went on.

So tonight I happened to mention the option to take a shower because Dillon didn't want his bath to "take too long." Well, he and Jason both scoffed at the idea. But after Angie gave Adrian his bath, I heard the shower running upstairs. I walked up, and lo and behold, there were Dillon and Jason standing in the shower washing their hair! I couldn't believe it. No crying (well, not much anyway), and they seemed like they didn't hate it!

Wow, who would have thought that we'd get them to take showers BEFORE getting them to brush their own teeth! (Yes, we still do it for them.)

Star Wars Puzzle "You're all clear, kid."

We're working on a new 1,000-piece puzzle called, "You're all clear, kid." It's a Star Wars puzzle that prominently features the Millennium Falcon, Darth Vader, the Death Star, and all the primary characters from "A New Hope." It's been a difficult one so far because of the number of black pieces with "stars" on them, along with the number of white Falcon pieces. But we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel! Here is a picture of where we are now...

Fairmount Park River Rescue

Went to Fairmount park around 4pm today with the family for a bike ride around the park. As soon as we got there and parked, Dillon said to me, "There's a car in the water!" A minute later, he said, "Someone is inside!" It was the craziest thing I've ever witnessed. Thank God someone was there with a tire iron and a few guys swam out and busted the back window open!  One of the guys said he was her husband (he said this as he walked right past me).  We all felt completely helpless. I wanted to jump in and do something but I had nothing to break glass with. One witness said she saw the car accelerate into the river...  We just don't know if it was intentional. Crazy Easter!
