Kristin Hersh

Throwing Muses is playing at Philadelphia's World Cafe Live in early March. I haven't seen them play live in a few years, so I'm looking forward to it. I need to get off my butt and buy tickets first, though! I think it's on a Tuesday night, which kind of sucks since I'll have to work the next day, but it'll be worth it. Kristin's "other" band 50 Foot Wave is one of the openers, so that should make for a loud evening of rockin' music.

I still need to get tickets for the Brooklyn show. I know I'll regret it if I don't go, especially after you tell me how great they were in Philly.

Fairmount Park River Rescue

Went to Fairmount park around 4pm today with the family for a bike ride around the park. As soon as we got there and parked, Dillon said to me, "There's a car in the water!" A minute later, he said, "Someone is inside!" It was the craziest thing I've ever witnessed. Thank God someone was there with a tire iron and a few guys swam out and busted the back window open!  One of the guys said he was her husband (he said this as he walked right past me).  We all felt completely helpless. I wanted to jump in and do something but I had nothing to break glass with. One witness said she saw the car accelerate into the river...  We just don't know if it was intentional. Crazy Easter!
